Busch Gardens Takes Home ‘Best Use of Data Driven Marketing;’ Royal Caribbean Wins ‘Best Use of Dynamic Email Content’

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay: Best Use of Data Driven Marketing
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay was named the winner in “Best Use of Data Driven Marketing” for its Food & Wine Festival email campaign that kicked off in February 2018. Using Liveclicker’s RealTime Email with LiveCalendar functionality, the theme park company released its entire concert lineup with a call-to-action (CTA) for recipients to add favorite concerts to their calendars. Calendar notifications included information about the artist, general festival information, a link to purchase tickets, and upgrade options to reserve concert seating.
Busch Gardens was then able to retarget those subscribers that had added events to their calendars with more personalized information, such as weekly concert reminders highlighting the artist they were interested in seeing along with a CTA to get their seats and get their Festival Sampler. Campaign results included click-through rate (CTR) increases of 150% compared to Busch Gardens’ average CTR.

Royal Caribbean: Best Use of Dynamic Email Content
Royal Caribbean took top honors in the “Best Use of Dynamic Email Content” category. The cruise line company needed to dynamically populate pricing in email to ensure accuracy, improve the customer experience, and streamline their email production process. Using Liveclicker’s LiveFeed capability in RealTime Email, they incorporated live pricing into their “Buy One Guest, Get Second Guest 50% Off” campaign.
Using the live pricing feed enabled Royal Caribbean to display up-to-the-minute pricing on cruise packages in email marketing messages at the moment of open, even if significant time had lapsed from the time the email was deployed. Using live pricing feeds in their “BOGO 50” campaign prompted recipients to engage much more frequently on the itinerary where pricing had changed, generating a 12% increase in CTRs.
