Today we celebrate three RealTime Email campaigns that caught the attention of our selection committee in the third quarter of 2017 – primarily because of how engaging they were for recipients and for the effect they had on the customer experience.
For example, Royal Caribbean implemented LiveFeed functionality to match prices in their promotional emails with the pricing on their website. Not only did this help streamline their email production processes and ensure accuracy for recipients no matter when they open the email, but the results show that subscribers engage much more frequently on the itinerary with dynamic pricing changes.
Additionally, retailer TOMS used a unique kinetic design element to show off their glow-in-the-dark shoes around Halloween. Having the ability to experience the shoe right in the email meant recipients were five times more likely to engage with the interactive treatment versus the static one.
Finally, Sun Tan City executed a live, in-email poll to gauge their customers’ music preferences so they could provide the best in-salon experience. With high open and response rates on the email, the company was able to immediately use the poll results to satisfy the majority of their customers.
