Liveclicker’s RealTime Email Driving Clicks, Conversions and Revenues for Recognized Consumer Brands

Today, Liveclicker, Inc announced that its RealTime Email solution, which enables marketers to create customized content for recipients at the moment they open their email messages, has achieved significant traction since its recent launch. Close to 100 companies, including Adobe, ExactTarget, New Balance, JetBlue, Shoeline, Sony, TailorMade Golf/Adidas and many others, are using RealTime Email’s powerful real-time targeting, testing and analytics capabilities to engage consumers via highly focused, relevant email campaigns that drive opens, clicks, conversions and revenues.

JetBlue understands the positive impact that real-time responsive content can have with recipients and utilized the RealTime Email solution to run a live sale countdown timer as part of a recent email campaign to promote its weekly fare sale. Like other real-time content powered by RealTime Email, live countdown timers merge data only known at the moment when a recipient opens the email – such as the time of day and time zone – with existing subscriber data. By allowing the delivery of highly targeted and engaging inbox experiences, JetBlue’s campaign was uniquely relevant to the consumer at the moment of open, displaying the exact time left in the fare sale to purchase discounted tickets.

JetBlue launched its two-day discounted airfare campaign in May for summer travel through September 25 in the New York and Boston markets. The campaigns consisted of targeted emails for each of the regions. The emails featuring the countdown timer outperformed the base campaign in both markets, with overall unique click-through rates improving by 37.1 percent and overall unique conversions in both markets outperforming the base results by an average of 111.5 percent.

In addition, JetBlue ran an A/B test of countdown timer vs. no timer for the major regional segments within the overall large distribution. There, it experienced a 4.4 percent increase in overall revenues for the A/B tested segments, a 6.8 percent lift in unique conversion rates and a 7.9 percent increase in click-to-conversion rates.
